Reliance Netconnect+ Wireless Broadband Plans

Last Updated on May 27, 2017 by Sri Nik

Recently, Reliance has slashed its Reliance Netconnect+ tariff plans both on postpaid and prepaid. USB modem prices have come down from INR 1599 to INR 1299.

Just visit the nearest Reliance Communications web world store and furnish the required documents namely address proof, identity proof and a passport photograph.

Within a couple of days your Reliance Netconnect+ services would be active. This waiting period is to validate your documents.

Reliance Netconnect+ – Postpaid:

There are 3 types of plans in Reliance Netconnect+ post paid segment:

  • Unlimited Usage Plans
  • Speed Based Plans
  • Time Based Plans

In unlimited usage plans, you can select silverplus, goldplus and pltnmuplus depending upon your usage. The monthly rental is ₹950, ₹1100 and ₹1500 respectively.

Do remember that 3.1 Mbps speed is for a certain limit only and thereafter the speed will decrease to 144 kbps with unlimited usage.

Brdband_Silverplus9505 GBUnlimited
Brdband_Goldplus110010 GBUnlimited

The second type – speed based plans comprise low speed – low monthly rental – high data usage plans that are divided into day and night timings. Day timings otherwise known as peak hours are calculated from 6 am to 10 pm.

Maximum SpeedsMonthly RentalTotal Free UsageDayNight

Upto 150 kbpsRs. 40015 GB5 GB10 GB

With regard to time-based plans, daily 120 plan is a better option that comes with a monthly rental of INR 750 will give you 3600 min of usage.

PlanMonthly RentalUsage
Daily 60Rs. 5001800 min
Daily 120Rs. 7503600 min
Day & NightRs. 9503600 min Day / 5400 min Night

Reliance Netconnect+ – Prepaid:

If you are considering Reliance Netconnect+ prepaid option, then you should first recharge with INR 100 that gives you 5 GB data usage with 30 days validity. There are many recharge vouchers available in different denominations namely 5 hr pack, 10 hr pack, 25 hr pack, unlimited pack etc.

You can even migrate from postpaid to prepaid provided you stick to postpaid for a minimum period of 3 months. The best thing about Reliance Netconnect+ is that it provides national roaming facility with wide coverage in 24,000 towns across India.

What’s your Take on Reliance Netconnect+?

Personally I do use Reliance Netconnect+ services as it is more reliable and faster than any other wireless internet. Enjoy maximum speed up to 3.1 Mbps and minimum of 150 kbps (depending upon technical feasibility) with Reliance Netconnect+.

Reliance Jio & Impact on Telecom Industry:

Relaince Jio LYF mobile

With the entry of Reliance Jio, the telecom industry has witnessed a massive disruption. The competitive data tariff plans introduced by Reliance Jio has even triggered consolidation in the telecom domain. The Vodafone India and Idea Cellular agreed to merge thereby creating the largest telecom company in India.

Similarly, Bharti Airtel acquired Norwegian Telenor’s India unit. Anil Ambani-led Reliance Communications has signed a deal to merge its wireless business with Maxis Communications holding Aircel.

Initially, Reliance Jio started the commercial operations by offering free services. Starting 1 April 2017, the Mukesh Ambani-led telecom company kept up the pressure with its competitive data tariff plans making all voice call free including roaming-free.

Finally, I received the following message on completion of the survey:

Paypal

“Thank you for your time and input into this survey. Your responses will allow PayPal to improve their products and services so that they can better meet your needs.”

Am I the only person to receive such survey from PayPal? One of my friend reported that he got a phone call from PayPal team to update the account. I’m in doubt whether PayPal really make such calls.

Whatever it might be, PayPal always rocks with its high level security features.

Yahoo! MyBlogLog To Be Discontinued

Last Updated on May 25, 2017 by Sri Nik

Just observed an email from Yahoo in my inbox! It’s regarding MyBlogLog discontinuation service.

MyBlogLog Shutdown:

Let me present the original mail for you:

MyBlogLog

Frankly speaking, I stopped using MyBlogLog (the biggest blog list social network system) long ago. Though the service didn’t generate any readers for me but still I liked it. This is mainly due to the concept of linking blogs. After Yahoo acquisition, I completely lost interest in MyBlogLog as the former didn’t take any initiative in developing the network.

Actually the mastermind behind Yahoo acquisition of MyBloLog and Flickr is none other than Bradley Horowitz. He was the head of Yahoo’s Advanced Technology Division but as of now he is overseeing Google’s communications products and social applications including Google Talk, Google Buzz, Blogger and Picasa.

I suppose Yahoo is now getting rid of MyBlogLog without making any benefit from it.

Moral of the story: – It’s definitely an error.
